About SCB Cameroon Chapter

The Society for Conservation Biology-SCB- is one of the biggest conservation organisations in the world. It is made of people who work to conserve the world's ecosystems and endangered species through cutting-edge science. They also work to support livelihood activities for local communities around Protected Areas.

SCB has representations in all continents called sections, and each section is divided into chapters at country level.

The Cameroon Chapter was created in 2016 and currently has more than 100 members. It is based in Yaounde and currently has several projects in different parts of the country. It is a partner of several local and international organisations and is at the forefront of capacity building of young scholars in Cameroon interested in the science of conservation.
